This research aims to clarify the meaning of occupational injuries and diseases and their legal regulation, as well as the obligations of the employer when a work injury occurs and the necessary preventive measures to protect workers from exposure to injury. It also clarifies the mechanism for calculating compensation for occupational injuries and diseases, and the personal and objective scope of insurance. The researcher found that the legislator has arranged several obligations for the employer before the injury occurs, namely providing means of protection and prevention, in addition to insuring workers and conducting periodic medical examinations. At the same time, it has arranged some obligations when the injury occurs, including providing treatment and transporting the injured person to the nearest treatment center, then informing the police, the insured party and the relevant ministerial authorities, in addition to paying the costs of treatment resulting from the work injury.
