Effects of acquiring shares of commercial companies

Because of the importance of acquisition in the economy, and the importance of legislation regulating acquisition, in this study the effects of acquisition on commercial companies, and aimed to clarify the definition of acquisition, in comparative laws, and the effects of acquisition from the legal side, with mention: details related to the effects, and the comparison between acquisition and merger.
The study concluded with results: Although the Jordanian legislator did not regulate acquisition in its provisions, many comparative legislations showed that acquisition is an organized process, because it is a double-edged sword despite its advantages, but it is more dangerous in its negative aspects. If the acquiring company monopolizes an important component of the host country, it will control its economy, or paralyze trade in that sector.
