Competence criteria between spouses in Islamic jurisprudence and its variables

Abstract

A marriage contract is one of the most important contracts that a person makes in his life, so in choosing his partner he based on specific criteria. The Islamic Sharia took care of marriage and its conditions, she set specific criteria and attributes for it, to achieve its goal, hence our interest in the subject of competence in marriage, as the current study dealt with the essential criteria; represented in religion, lineage, profession, and money, and the new criteria such as educational attainment, safety, age, and country, by presenting the opinions of the jurists with an explanation of their differences in determining the consideration of these criteria, and then weighting the opinion based on the strength of that evidence and its compatibility with Islamic law
