The role of corporate social responsibility in enhancing universal health coverage

The increasing need to activate corporate social responsibilities is evident worldwide, given governments' shortcomings, Health crises offer companies an opportunity to enhance offerings, improve reputation, and competitive position. This study examines companies' ability to balance commercial interests and social responsibility, particularly in achieving universal health coverage, it explores their involvement in addressing the Corona pandemic and utilizing resources to tackle social challenges, focusing on true intentions and future sustainability, the research draws on international experiences and also examines the case of Algeria. The results indicate that many companies have demonstrated significant commitment to society through substantial donations, transformed business activities, and responsible policies to protect employees and their families health during the corona crisis, this unique opportunity fosters a cultural shift towards corporate social responsibility values, contributing to a shared culture between businesses and stakeholders in the future.
