Assessing the solvency of a group of private banks in Algeria during the period
(2016-2020)

Abstract: This study aimed to assess the solvency of a sample of private banks operating in Algeria, namely Fransabank, Bnp Paribas and AGB, using solvency ratios based on the financial statements of the three banks during the period from 2016 to 2020. The study concluded that the three banks under study are able to meet the obligations represented in returning deposits based on their ownership rights, as they depend on their capital as a primary source of financing and the formation of their assets, and they can address the risks of not being able to recover part of the money invested in loans, and accordingly banks enjoy All three are of sufficient and acceptable solvency.
