The transactional fine : a relative concealment of the penal nature of consumer crimes
Keywords:

Similar to recent legislation that has pursued a contemporary criminal policy to confront economic crimes in general and consumer crimes in particular by adopting the transactional fine as an alternative to punishment, the Algerian legislator approved the transactional fine in the field of consumption, and authorized product control agents to impose it on every intervenor who committed a crime. The consumer’s safety is jeopardized, as the transactional fine is considered a non-compulsory means aimed at amicable reconciliation without the need to resort to the judiciary, , and the scope of its application is not absolute, but is legally determined both in terms of the crimes covered by the conciliation, or in terms of the amount of the conciliation.
