About LPMPS
The Laboratoire de Physique Mathématique et Physique Subatomique (LPMPS) is one of Algeria’s most respected research laboratory in the field of theoretical physics. Founded in 2000 and based at Université Frères Mentouri Constantine 1, the laboratory brings together a large staff of dedicated teachers and researchers, led over the years by a succession of distinguished Algerian physicists.
LPMPS has been recognized multiple times as a “Pole of Excellence” and continues to play a leading role in both national and international physics research. Its work spans a wide range of domains including:
-
Mathematical Physics
-
High-Energy Physics and Gravitation
-
Quantum Computing and Field Theory
-
Nuclear Physics and Radiation-Matter Interaction
-
Medical and Applied Physics
-
Computational and Theoretical Chemistry
LPMPS is also committed to training future physicists through research-based education, ensuring students acquire a strong foundation in fundamental physics and related disciplines. Many of its graduates have gone on to contribute significantly to academia, research, and industry.
